StaticWiki is a simple and open-source Markdown-based wiki generator licensed under the zlib/libpng license that allows anyone to host their own personal Wiki anywhere, be it a local location, dropbox's Public folder, or even an actual web server with PHP/MySQL possibilities.

Converts Markdown to actual HTML files through the use of a Markdown Interpreter and a base Theme file
All conversions are nearly instant: Can convert dozens of pages within less than a second
All Javascript is inlined on each page, allowing the user to have no requirements regarding hosting the pages unless they import javascript scripts from a local file
Has a simple built-in search engine
Generation is based on replacing strings, and as such is trivial to produce, but might allow for mistakes to occur
Anyone can easily create theme files simply by getting a web template and adding the special keywords where the generated text goes into
