For This project I was assigned to design a hand held torch by selecting a well known brand. We were required to do research on different types of torches as well as their components to make an assembly using SolidWorks.

For my design I chose the brand CAT (Caterpillar) to design a multi purpose construction flashlight which would be durable and easy to use. Some additional properties I added to my flashlight's design was having it carry basic tools which the worker might need, the torch has a setting to be used as a lantern as well and also has a magnetic surface at the bottom which would allow users to mount the light  to a surface if needed.
