Mirai Trunks, also known as Future Trunks, is a character from the character from the Dragon Ball universe, created by Akira Toriyama. He first appeared in the manga Dragon Ball and its animated adaptation, Dragon Ball Z.
In the Dragon Ball Z story, Mirai Trunks comes from an alternate future where cyborgs (C-17 and C-18) have taken over the world and killed most heroes, including Goku. To counter this threat, Trunks travels back in time using a time machine, and travels to the past to ask Goku and his friends for help.
