Some recovery exercises on damaged old furniture, where the intent was to give a second life to this pieces by transforming them, adding prostheses, etc.

Mahogany chair
This chair was found on the trash in harsh conditions, especially the seat that was in a really bad state.
While dismantling and cleaning the chair, i decided i had to do a new seat. One that wasnt so complicated as the original one- full of nails (as you can see in the image below) and with a rotten stuffing.
The solution found was to make  a seat that didnt need nails, easy to put, and in a material noble and durable as the mahogany (leather).
The new leather adjustable seat was executed with the help of my friend Jorge Carreira.

Minibar
This piece was offered to my mother by an old friend. The minibar had a critter wood bug infestation that i readily treated, and with warped legs that had to be replaced.
The new legs were made in pine and painted white, the rest of the minibar was left with its wooden original tones. The tiles are the original ones too.

Graffiti chair
This chair, also found in the garbage, was part of my 2010 workshop "graffiti meets furniture" where people that never used spray cans get together with some graffiters, and had the chance to paint over some recovered objects that were displaced near a wall, bringing graffitis to the objects, and objects to the graffiti wall. My friend Manoel Jack, one of the participants, painted this chair- one of my favourites pieces from this workshop (part of the comunicardesign event in ESAD.CR).
The chair had a broken leg which i fixed by adding a wooden prosthesis.
