Exhibition Title: Humble Constructor – Traditional Bamboo Scaffolding in Modern Architecture

Bamboo scaffolding is commonly used in Hong Kong for many years. This traditional technique is not only about a technique that used in temporary construction sites. It is also a reflection of the culture in Hong Kong. Although architecture and construction industry was developing rapidly throughout the past 50 years, this never cause the abandon of traditional bamboo scaffolding.

 

Essence:

Taking bamboo as the story teller, this exhibition introduces the traditional bamboo scaffolding in Hong Kong and how this technique plays an important role in modern architecture.
