Art 235 - PSA Ad Campaign

This ad campaign was inspired by a tweet posted by the NPS on March 19, 2023 that said "Most squirrel bites originate at the front, or “bitey end,” of the squirrel." I thought it was a hilarious yet informative reminder to leave wildlife alone. As soon as I was tasked with creating a three part PSA, I knew I wanted to pair up with the National Park Service for this issue. I love their tongue in cheek approach on social media and did my best to emulate that with this campaign.
The goal was to make three 11x17 posters on an important issue or topic of my choice. Each poster needed to be distinct but similar enough to be a set. Once I found these amazing wildlife images on the pexels website, the project very quickly came together. I wanted the focus to be on the individual animals being left alone and living their lives without human interference. Getting too close to wild animals is dangerous for humans and for the animals. The National Park Service has some great and informative PSA infographics as well as several cheeky reminders to give wildlife space. I did my best to keep that lighthearted yet informative approach reminding people to give wildlife the space they need. The NPS website has some great resources on how to enjoy nature respectfully and I was really glad I could shine a light on that with this project.
