About Fragmented: Rewritten
Fragmented: Rewritten takes place in a walled-off city known as the Neon District. The Neon District is a concrete jungle masked in bright neon lights. These lights never lose their shine as the city is forever trapped in the night. Due to the lack of sunlight, the citizens are given the nutrients they need through the pill.
The pill is also what the government uses to control the citizens of the Neon District. This pill voids its citizens of the freedom of emotions the government feels are negative like grief or anger. It also strips them of any memories of their pre-existing lives outside of the district. The pill also is what gives the citizens their drive and crave for adrenaline that allows them to run in the concrete jungle.
Runs are how the citizens of the Neon District acquire points, which is the currency of the district. The city is built with parkour in mind and is the main way to earn points. Points can be earned through challenges. These challenges can be broken up into three different categories. Bets, Races and Rank matches.
All matches are not as simple are running. The obstacles can be very challenging and it’s easy to lose your grip or footing if you aren’t careful. There are also many occurrences where runners will fall off the course due to a loss of balance on their own doing or another runner pushing them out of the way.
The mind can be a tricky thing, and there are times that a citizen can become Fractured or aware of the truth. This is usually met with a strong wave of emotions and emotional outburst. Usually the government takes care of them by giving them a stronger dose of the pill or disposed of.
Phone Design
Phones in Fragmented: Rewritten are used for everything. From keeping track of points, communicating with teams, and purchasing goods and services.
Phone Key:
1. The percentage of battery left of the phone.
2. Time, shown as a 24-hour clock.
3. Cell service strength.
4. Points (currency).
5. Date & day of the week.
6. GPS.
7. Music.
8. Contacts.
9. Applications.
10. Store for everything and anything.
11. Runner's High (social media/messaging platform).
12. Phone to call others.
13. Settings (ex. changing phone color).
14. Camera.
15. Photos.
16. Bluetooth.
17. Frist name of the citizen.
18. ID (tapped to show).
ID Design
IDs in Fragmented: Rewritten are used similar to the real world. They give the government quick access to a citizen's information.
The color of the ID always matches the color of the phone.
ID Key:
1. The citizen's first name and last name
2. A Crown to symbolize who are on the TOP10 runner groups for that month.
3. The citizen's birthday
4. The citizen's gender. 1/2 with show to indicate F/M (Non-binary remains dark).
5. The group the citizen is a part of. If the citizen is solo, it's marked as N/A.
6. The citizen's position in their group. If solo, SOLO is shown.
7. The citizen's status within the Neon District. Either active or Idle (those who cannot run at the current time due to injury or other factors).
8. The citizen's identification number that is given at birth or at first entrance into the neon district.
9. The citizen's current number of points (currency)
10. The citizen's current image.
