UX Design Certification Project: Mobile App

The following work was completed as a final project to obtain my UX Design Micro-credential certification (NZQA Level 5) with Yoobee College of Creative Innovation utilising industry standard software Figma, Balsamiq and Miro, and covering all aspects of the UX Design process.

My brief: Firstly, to digitise the travel card of a transport provider and create a mobile app in order to overcome the problem of lost cards, secondly to nudge customers to tag on and off (users not tagging on and off results in lost revenue), and thirdly to provide a seamless user experience.

To complete this project successfully I did the following: selected our local transport company called Auckland Transport (AT) as my client, compiled a user research report, created 3 personas, identified key findings, presented a persona to advance through customer journey mapping, created a user flow diagram, identified pain points and then proposed 3 ideas for a mobile app which I then named goAT. I selected a winning design solution for development based on incentivising the end user, which I received very positive feedback on. I then created a site map, wire frames and a workable high fidelity prototype based on this. After that I conducted usability testing to gather feedback, formulated a report and presented my final analysis.

I obtained a 100% pass mark. The final project can be viewed on Miro here
