Horseracing is the premiere sport, not just in the US alone, but in the world. The sport brings about the grand orchestration of ceremony, wealth, horse breeding, architecture, decoration, apparel & dress, and of course, people. Perhaps undetected by the common eye, the sport of horseracing is a sport that magnitizes the world's most famous brands. Many thoroughbred owners are coincidentally owners or heirs to large corportations, many of which we interact and perhaps purchase products from, on a daily basis.
This project is a two-part project; the first dealing with a catalog of symbols created from the jockey uniform patterns, horticultural and architectural elements from many famous US racecourses. The second project is the cohesion of those abstract symbols with famous brands—a collection of posters.
