Hidden but always present.

Resided within a multi F&B outlet of a coffee shop and restaurants, this freeform park hides from plain sight yet can be seen from certain angles.

Composed of three organic hardscape components, softened by a few types of vegetations, it creates a fluid circulation and close connection in between the surrounding architecture and the landscape itself. Users are encouraged to discover the space from three different "entrances". Each is independently positioned to form a seamless transition all around the avenue. People within the area can always see the fluctuating of shapes, both vertically and horizontally.

The design narrative completes when the softscape and other elements are selected and located. Given the uneven contoured surfaces, the landscape forms a hilly field of moss, small ferns, sedum, funkia and a few common beech trees. Ground lights and other decorative lights simultaneously elevate the vegetations and hardscape once the dusk falls.

This pocket park is flexible and versatile. Not only does it create a physical and visual relation between the built environments, but also provides vendor spaces for occasional pop-up events.
