L.L.Bean Red Sox Boot Emblem

PHOTOS OTHER THAN LOGO/SKETCHES ARE NOT TAKEN BY ME. USED FROM L.L.BEAN'S BLOG AND ESPN.

As part of L.L.Bean's graphics team, my coworkers (Brian Sailer and Peter Selmayr) and I got the exciting opportunity to design the emblem/logo for the suprise red Bean boots the company developed for the Red Sox as a World Series congratulations present.
Designed in under 48hrs, and made in the Brunswick facility in under a week, it was a product of hard work all around. At the time they hadn't even won the series yet! But we had to have it ready for if they did.
Each pair was specially made for each player and the staff. No extras, none were sold.
The logo went from sketches, to art for the embroidery, to getting a special treatment on the boot mobile which took part in the Boston parade, to Gomes himself wearing them in the parade and on Conan.
