I designed a book cover for a client who wrote a book which teaches readers about C programming. The client wanted a modern styled, simple cover which would be slightly reminiscent of the book "The C Programming Language" by Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie. 

To achieve this I chose a colour scheme which is similar to said book (blue and white) and added a simple graphic for the front of the letter C. The modern look was achieved by using colour blocking and clean, easy to read fonts. The C graphic looks almost as if its made out of pixels however its more rounded and soft, this gives the graphic both a modern and more "tech" styled look.

The client also wanted a black simple background for the back cover of the book as he wanted to put in the about the author and book description sections in himself. I just added a muted and enlarged version of the C graphic into the background just to tie both the back and front covers together.
