How it started till it took a different direction 

This has been the longest I’ve worked on a piece. Started in March 2023. I took several breaks, struggled with creative blocks in between.

I wanted to pour my heart out to this piece. I kept altering and starting all over till I got the feeling I was trying to express.

 

Started with this pallet but ended up with different shades later on.

I love how I explored and tried out new styles and colours. I feel this is my best and favorite piece so far. And it means a lot to me. 

wasn’t sure of what I wanted for the background  till I was done with the piece. I just know I wanted something different and The Serch Bythol was perfect. The symbol and what it represents. 

For the hair i wanted something simple coz I wanted to maintain the focus of the  piece. These cornrows fit perfectly.
