Design Research Processes

The two design processes I used in the last year were the RTDP model and the Double Diamond Model. I found the experience of using both really valuable, this gave me the insight into realising that one fits better with how I design.

I am a very hands-on designer who works well through constant variation. I can find myself in the RTDP model because it is not linear and a constant cycle of iterations, with sidesteps in whichever way you as a designer see fit at that moment in time. The continuous researching, reflecting, validating and prototyping suits me really well. With an emphasis on how free it is when it approaches that prototyping has a place everywhere in the process.
