Ozal ile baslayan ve Erdogan ile devam eden ideolojinin, Turk Bayragina katkisi.

Neo-Ottomanism is a Turkish political ideology that, in its broadest sense, promotes greater political engagement of the modern Republic of Turkey within regions formerly under the rule of the Ottoman Empire, its predecessor state.
It has been used to describe Turkish foreign policy under the Justice and Development Party which took power in 2002 under prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Neo-Ottomanism is a dramatic shift from the traditional Turkish foreign policy of the Kemalist ideology, which emphasized looking westward towards Europe with the goal of avoiding the instability and sectarianism of the Middle East. The shift away from this concept in Turkish foreign policy under Turgut Özal's government has been described as the first step towards neo-Ottomanism.

g e z i  - Taksim Gezi Park is an urban park next to Taksim Square, in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district (historically known as Pera.) It is one of the last green spaces in Beyoğlu and one of the smallest parks of Istanbul. In May 2013, plans to replace the park with a reconstruction of the former Taksim Military Barracks (demolished in 1940) intended to house a shopping mall sparked the nationwide 2013 protests in Turkey.

Following the protests the Istanbul based platform InEnArt presented Urban Voices which opens a critical view on cultural practices and phenomena that expresses the ethos, aspirations, and dreams of a specific population during a well-defined era and that triggered dramatic cultural changes in the past. One section of Urban Voices focusses on the protest culture in Turkey as described with the neologism Çapuling. It describes and reflects the visual culture, humor and irony of the peaceful protestors (the Çapulcu) as it developed in many forms in Turkey during 2013.

They were accused of being part of a secret "deep state" and were said to view themselves as the protectors of Turkey's national identity and the secular values of the country's founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

r a b i a - is a hand gesture and a sign that first appeared in late August 2013 in social media and protest marches in Egypt. It is used by protesters, activists and politicians who oppose the recent coup d'état in Egypt, which was led by General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi causing the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi.  In Egypt, security forces and the military-backed government consider the sign to resemble terrorism, by confining its wide use solely to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egyptian and non-Egyptian politicians are regularly seen making Rabia gesture. Erdogan is one of them.
