STYLE & SUBVERSION: THE FACTORY
«Le masse volevano sembrare anticonformiste, il che significava che l’anticonformismo doveva essere prodotto in massa».

[Andy Warhol]
Thesis presented in occasion of my bachelor degree in Fashion Design at Politecnico of Milan (July 2013).
The inspiration of my research comes from the Factory of Andy Warhol, a subversive and anticonformist movement founded in the 60's in New York. I focused my attention in particular on two figures, Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick, on their styles, their contaminations and their lifestyles.
My purpose is to recreate this fascinating atmosphere, exploring three main ideas (contrast, anticonformism, sperimentation)which are expressed in different aspects as shapes, colours, textiles, details, relationship with the body.
