The Project
This logo was created with the goal of making a simple, but yet appealing logo from an otter. The logo is for no particular company, but was created as an exercise to see what kind of design elements I could implement into a challenging form.
The Process
For the design process I made a total of 18 roughs, that served as ideas for what the final logo could potentially look like. It was during this process that I was following a general position of how I wanted the otter to be presented. With this factor in mind, I found it tough to come up with ideas, but it was a good way to challenge myself and see how out of the box I could go.
Other Work
With the 18 roughs aside, I also created a secondary logo to pair with the primary one. The idea was to make this logo applicable for smaller applications, while still keeping a large portion of the primary logo. I chose to make the otter standing in the water, which is depicted through simple water ripples.

I also made an oddball design of an otter with a really long neck, which also has spots like a giraffe.

Enjoy!
