Apollo Cradle & Children Hospital (Murals)

APOLLO CRADLE & CHILDRENS HOSPITAL

Created a series of murals for the pediatric floor at Apollo Cradle & Childrens Hospital. Apollo Hospitals is one of the largest hospital chains in India.
Based on the jungle theme provided by the client, I came up with the following designs. The use of pastel colours was to provide a gentle and soothing ambience to the otherwise stressful unit. My aim was to create visually engaging mural designs that translate the concept into a beautiful ambience.

The runner attached in segments below flows through the entire length of the unit.
A choice of illustrations were provided for one of the consultation booths of the pediatric floor. We went for the kangaroo as it reflected infant bonding, something that is often recommended.
The storks illustration occupies the length of a passage (344in x41.5in) that connects the delivery/labour room to the NICU. The concept behind it was to show that the babies are being carried from the delivery room to the NICU.
The toucans were added for a pop of colour to the otherwise dull looking labour room. This is a smaller illustration and lies between the two ends of the bed frame. The same colour scheme and style were maintained throughout all illustrations to show uniformity across all rooms of the pediatric floor.
