About - This Project is created to be a two part project with subsidiary releases, including cover songs and singles. Drill or Nah is the first release from the series.
Drill or Nah is an electronic tape consisting of two sub genres. This includes Drill music - A style of rap and hip-hop prominent in the UK and NAH - New Afro Hip-Hop. Although this project contained a bit of the two, there seems to be more of drill music than the other genres.
Creative Direction + Visual Representation - We created a universe for EESKAY because he can flow on almost any genre. This universe depends on the genre he is in. There are two sides to the project. Drill side which consists of ninjas wearing the traditional Drill outfit which is a Cruise Gang (Nigerian clothing brand grown from the UK) tech tracksuit and a bally / ski-mask . The weapon choice was a bit more traditional considering a lot of knives are used in the UK. The second side is the New Afro Hip-Hop which consists of the DEM (Double Energy Mafia - EESKAY's collective grown in Nigeria).
The Ninjas were used to depict the dedication and discipline drill artists have to put towards their music because it's not accepted everywhere and also to depict the UK drill scene using the outfit. The suits were used to depict the mafia ensemble which shows togetherness and oneness,
