In these pieces i used biro to create one self portrait and one of someone else. the self portraits are a popular subject in art, as they allow the artist to explore their own identity and emotions as shown here. some biro marks are bolder than others this is to show the shadows and different lights in the image, the use of black and white creates a strong contrast between the main features and details on the face, such as nose, lips and hair. overall a biro self portrait is a personal and intimate expression of creativity and self reflection.
