This quilt was created for the 'Living Colour' juried exhibition and won entry as one of the 32 exhibited from over 190 entries worldwide. It will be exhibited around Australia and internationally from 2014 - 2015. 
Paint, trapunto (padding), needle felting, free-machine emboridery, thread painting, fused angelina fibres, hand made fringing and fused applque are all used together to make up this work. The title reflects on the significant population decline of bees worldwide.

Detail showing the thread painting (petals) and free machine embroidery. The fringing around the yellow area was created by sewing with two different yellow threads through the one needle using a tailor tack foot.
