Metal & Bone - Jewelry Design 2012- Present

This is a selection of my favorte pieces designed in the last 2 years. I have been designing and fabricating jewelry since 2005, and selling my work online since 2010.  This practice began when I started making pieces for myself, and expanded when I began getting requests from friends and colleagues. Over the last 3 years I have been slowly been investing in and developing my moon-light jewelry business and I am really excited and proud of where it has lead me.

The materials I love to work with the most are all-natural: bone, stone, wood, metal. I source the majority of my animal remains locally from the wild, utilising road casualties, and natural deaths. As a natural problem-solver, I love finding ways to use recycled materials, scraps, or reporposing items that are no longer useful. My jewelry-making provides me with many opportunities to satisfy this desire. I really enjoy juxtapozing soft smooth texture and natural shapes with heavy and industrial-feeling metal structures. I am very much influenced by Wunderkammer-culture, Charivari, Egyptian Amulets, and pagan talismans from all over the world.
