For this project, we were to design a poster for an event. I chose to make a poster for a Renaissance Faire that happened in my home town, in Shasta county. My concept was trying to make something that communicated a medieval feel, with art that I drew to be like medieval inked line art. The colors I chose are also based off the same reasoning--I chose a beige color to be like old aged paper, and besides the green used the dark blue is also to try to create a weathered ink effect. I was also focused on making it readable, and the contrast between the dark blue  Green was chosen to reflect the place the event is happening, with green being associated with Shasta. Green text was then used for everything referencing Shasta. In the art I made I also made the shield motif a depiction of Mount Shasta.
