Legambiente was founded in 1980, is today the largest and most popular Italian environmental association. WHY STOP THE COAL
• Coal is the main cause of climate change is estimated to be responsible for more than 40% of CO2 emissions on a global scale.
• Coal is a fossil fuel obsolete and highly polluting.
• Coal is also dangerous to human health, causing serious illnesses.
• The coal has serious economic impact on the State and citizens as well as worsen the energy dependence.
• Coal subtracts investments in the development of energy efficiency and renewable rinnovali, clean and safe, to achieve the objective 100% renewable.
• The coal is no longer needed, in Italy today are installed electric power to approximately twice the peak electricity we consume. Can we close coal plants, starting from the most polluting.

STOP AL CARBONE PERCHÈ
• Il carbone è il principale responsabile dei mutamenti climatici: si stima che sia responsabile di più del 40% delle emissioni di CO2, su scala mondiale.
• Il carbone è un combustibile fossile obsoleto e altamente inquinante.
• Il carbone è pericoloso anche per la salute dell’uomo, provocando patologie anche gravi.
• Il carbone ha pesanti ricadute economiche sulle casse dello Stato e dei cittadini oltre che peggiorare la dipendenza energetica dell’Italia.
• Il carbone sottrae investimenti per lo sviluppo dell’efficienza energetica e delle fonti rinnovali, pulite e sicure, per raggiungere l’obiettivo 100% rinnovabili.
• Il carbone non serve più, oggi in Italia sono installati impianti di potenza elettrica per circa il doppio del picco di elettricità che consumiamo. Possiamo chiudere le centrali a carbone, a iniziare da quelle più inquinanti.
