Our clients had just moved to Perth from overseas when they first contacted us. Their newly purchased residence was a beautiful shell which needed to become a home. Their modern Italian designer furniture was on its way from the UK and part of the brief  was for us to  create custom design functional, statement pieces which would make the most of the existing space and above all  complement their soon to arrive furniture. Most challenging was the request to create a type of room divider for the living area which would incorporate a fire and a TV with the capability of being watched from almost every angle in the living area. Our answer was “numerical” in other words, a unit which looks like the numbers 5 and 2, depending on the side from which it is being viewed!  (See pictures below). 

We managed to match the veneer for the room divider and the corner side board, to the clients’ Calligaris dining  table and chairs veneer, and we did this from pictures. 

In the media room we created a couple of design statement pieces which enhance the proportions of the space and at the same time provide  efficient storage for our clients. For a louder "wow" we clad one of the walls with an evening New York scene alluding to the couples' favourite travel destination. For fun and a personalised touch, we lifted sections of the wall mural which we printed on fabric and then had unique cushions made out of it, depicting spots our clients have visited. 

Admittedly, the most enjoyable part of the project was working with a colour scheme compatible to the adorable and treasured canine family member!
