Objective:
Design a robot that can move in a straight line from the starting point to a location 1 meter away, using a mechanism inspired by nature.
Constraints:
Size of the robot should not exceed 210 mm × 297 mm (the size of an A4 paper); height should not exceed 200 mm; no wheels or tracks touching the ground; robot must be released at the starting point with zero velocity.
Design:
Completed a functional assembly based on the Jansen Linkage.
Manufacturing:
3D printed and assembled the parts.
Evaluation:
Identified the need for more focus on weight balancing and bot stability.
