Taxi: Scan & Go
Uber Scan and Go: Simplifying the Ride Experience through Seamless Verification with zero communication.

Introduction:
Uber Scan and Go is a revolutionary concept aimed at enhancing the passenger experience by eliminating the need for direct communication between passengers and drivers at the beginning of a ride.

How and why: It is my first self-project from real-world problems and observation. After interviewing tens of friends and identifying standard cab verification is done successfully but it has friction in its process. Friction is like a new OTP every time, explaining it to the driver.

Problem Statement:
The traditional process of initiating a ride often involves a series of manual interactions and communication between passengers and drivers. Passengers are typically engaged in phone calls or preoccupied with other tasks as they enter the cab, or sometimes not in the mood to communicate, making it inconvenient to communicate the OTP to the driver verbally. This communication friction can lead to delays, miscommunication, and a suboptimal user experience.

Objective:
The goal of this project is to streamline the ride experience for Uber passengers by creating a frictionless process for verifying their rides and starting their journey. By leveraging the power of technology and user-centered design principles, we aim to eliminate the need for direct communication, reducing both the effort and potential for errors during the ride initiation process.

Potential Solutions:
Static OTP: Communication
Distance proximity: No communication & no phone interaction
Scan & Go: No communication.

Scan & Go:
This innovative feature allows passengers to verify their ride and start their journey without the usual hassle of exchanging information, such as providing an OTP (One-Time Password) to the driver. In this case study, we explore the problem statement and the UX design solution, highlighting its benefits and impact on the Uber ride-hailing service.

Note: Uber is just an example taken here, it can be any cab Ola, Rapido, Blue Smart or any other taxi service.
