MAKER OF THE MONTH - WITTWORKS
Drew Witt, from the YouTube channel Wittworks, created a monthly series where he challenges makers to create original pieces inspired by that month’s theme. The creative with more votes from the community will get the title of Maker of the Month. To oficialize it, Drew offers a sticker and enamel pin as prizes, both with the visual identity created for this series. Drew invited me to develop that identity, the pin and its packaging design as well as the sticker.
During the briefing, Drew Witt mentioned that he wanted to motivate people to create with joy and wanted to create a platform where they would have someone to share their accomplishment with. Several proposals were created that aimed to represent that idea of joy and, simultaneously, integrated elements of the woodworking universe.
The chosen sticker proposal is a wood shaving that can also be interpreted as a confetti. As for the enamel pin, it consists of a wood piece that, when integrated in its own packaging, is sort of a badge pinned to the wall as a pride motive.
