Mi casa , su casa.

I live in Rio de Janeiro, near the Tijuca's Forest. During our winter the monkeys have no food in their habitat and they come to us in order to find something to eat. They are Callithrix penicillata( Mico estrela- the small) and Cebus apella( Macaco prego- the big). Today I made this photos. Since 2006 I observer the group and now I recognize a lot of them and I gave names, because I'm a human... Enjoy.

Part of group. They sum 14 animals.

The Chief. This the group male . His tail is short.

Little girl. She is very kind and probably is already 6 years old.

Baby Boy ( Menininho). This young borned 8 months ago and are so accustomed to me... But, I can't touch him.

Molequinha. She is a very smart girl, like child forever. I believe she is albinic because only her has light color. Never be impregnant and the group don't like her, but, she has no another group. She lives at the group periphery. and I protect her more then the others and she need special attention.

The Chief and Baby Boy.

Prego ! Attention! They are here! Today, more then 4 came. They are very smart, aggressive and fast. They take the food from my hands but very fast. I don't let them touch me.

This is another history... This monkey is big - Cebus apellata ( Macaco Prego) and they steal fruits and everything they find. I don't care of them near to me because if I do that, I will have a problem forever: they come into our houses and break everything. They are only monkeys, but I give food at the garden. No name to them. Only Pregos.
