These are some photos of creations using the Pen Tool in Adobe Illustrator. This was my first time learning about and using the Pen Tool. When I thought of creating a watermelon, I didn't want it to look so clean cut because that is not really how watermelon's are. When you see a slice of a watermelon, they don't all have the same amount of dark green and light green in each slice. I really enjoy the simplicity of the first photo and think that blue background suits the watermelons nice, as it reminds me of summertime. The second photo, I really enjoyed mixing a collection of colors to give it a fun summer vibe.
