TUITION KILLS (dir. Bella Reyes) FX/HMU by Liv Humphries
"Tuition Kills was directed by my friend Bella Reyes. I worked as the primary makeup and FX artist on this set. The bruises, broken noses, blood, and hangover look were all achieved using a Ben Nye Zombie wheel, some Ben Nye Clown White, and a little bit of vaseline." FAITHFUL (dir. Katherine Creevy) FX/HMU by Liv Humphries
"Faithful was my first experience covering tattoos. My second attempt at covering the actor's wrist tattoo was certainly more effective than the first. Her hickey and hangover makeup were done using the Ben Nye Zombie Wheel. Both actors' natural makeup looks were done using a Makeup Forever skin tone palette and the skin tone color wheel by Terri Tomlinson. Special thank you to the director, Katherine Creevy, for giving me her trust and allowing me to try new techniques."

LET US EAT CAKE (dir. Lauren Farro) FX/HMU by Liv Humphries
"Let Us Eat Cake was a fun set to work on. This poor actor went through all stages of a wicked shiner in the span of a weekend. I was lucky to work with a group that supported my learning and I'm super happy with the final product. The various stages of black eye were done using a Ben Nye Zombie Wheel. The natural, cleaned-up look was done using a makeup forever skin tone palette and a Terri Tomlinson skin color wheel. Sweat was achieved using vaseline and a water mister, a technique I learned from Austin-based FX artist Jason Vines. Thank you to director Lauren Farro for your support."

MONSTRUM OPUS (dir. Sonny Kwon) Assistant FX/Makeup Artist Liv Humphries
"Monstrum Opus was the first film I did FX makeup for. I had the amazing opportunity to work with the primary FX artist Jason Vines, and Austin-based professional FX artist with tonnes of experience. It was so motivating to not only learn a small bit of the trade from him, but to hear his story and experiences as a professional. I was originally brought on to do the "amateur" zombie look, done with the Ben Nye Zombie Wheel and some fake blood. I ended up training with Jason to fill in as primary FX artist on one of the last days of the shoot. The prosthetics were all created by him, and he was kind enough to send me with a set of practice prosthetics and the materials to practice adhering and painting the zombie wounds. I love the final product and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have worked on this great project."
