Pop-Up Me Final Project by Fatima Kazim

My project revolves around exploring the fascinating connection between technology and human identity. Inspired by the thought-provoking film "I, Robot," I embarked on a journey to create a Maya model that would synchronize its lip movements with a compelling scene from the movie where the robot is being interrogated for killing its creator. This particular scene delves into the repercussions of overreliance on machines and the hazards of blindly trusting artificial intelligence without considering its potential impact on human existence.
Moreover, the film delves into the concept of human nature and poses questions about the essence of being human, the definition of life, and the value we attribute to it. These are all questions that popped into my mind when I started the process of modeling my own digital persona using Maya. The experience evoked a blend of awe and unease as I perceived my digital rendition as a parallel version of myself existing in the virtual realm.
This endeavor has proven to be an enlightening and thought-provoking journey. It has deepened my understanding of digital sculpting and motivated me to continue refining my skills in this realm.
