BRIEF            To provide Interior design & Master plan services.

 

Developing a strategy to aligned with MBNS’s critical success factors to Provide a safe and secure environment that is welcoming and accessible to all. The project scope included a strategic masterplan to define what was possible within the budget, to consider the existing Heritage buildings and 70’s infill across a myriad of buildings on the site.

 

Resource developed three masterplan strategies for costing to define the most suitable return on investment for the school. The preferred strategy focused on a number of key areas to include; A heritage building uplift providing 8 classrooms with adjacent outdoor learning areas. New lighting and acoustic treatments to consider Neurodiversity in Education. New toilet facilities to provide critical infrastructure for students. A dynamic landscape design plan aims to connect different areas of the school and add vitality with the potential for community activity.

O U T C O  M E S

A functional and engaging space to learn, that offers teachers and students alike a choice of workstyles. The spaces created will be more usable for students, refreshed with upgraded facilities to improve accessibility, safety and ergonomics in design. Activation of outdoor spaces as a strategy will support the diverse future needs of the school.
