After living and breathing the French air over in South France at SCAD Lacoste, my heart has been captured by all of the flowers that I've seen in various towns that I have visited. They are literally everywhere and are so beautiful seeing on the walls and arranged on the ground outside doors.

For my final project in my Travel Drawing Portfolio class I chose to explore some of my favorite flowers. I did these pieces on a beautiful handmade paper with pen and watercolor, exploring with gestural mark-making and textures using salt.

They are all around 5 x 7 inches.
