I've always kept this childhood imagination in mind, wondering whether our little pet Betta Fish would grow so huge and only be found deep in the sea. Here is the inspiration behind the illustration: “During a diving session, a diver accidentally bumped into a giant Deep Sea Betta on one occasion. Ten years after their first encounter, the diver and the Deep Sea Betta have formed a very close bond, and they meet every year at the same time and place, as they did 10 years ago.”
