For my brochure project, I was tasked with choosing a travel destination and detailing its sights and attractions to persuade others to visit, as any official travel brochure would. I chose the beautiful island of Saint Lucia, found in the Caribbean. My brochure panels included a simple island map with a few locations, a summary of the wildlife and outdoor activities available, and a few selling points that come with the Caribbean lifestyle. I wanted the smaller design choices, such as framing and placement, to be simple. Using shapes of waves and bubbles, I could give small glimpses of the more common sights like beaches, while the truly special landscape shots deserved much larger portions of the panels. For the brochure's directory, I wanted to include a few well-known locations to explore, ranging from restaurants to landmarks and even resorts. To differentiate these on the map, I gave each location a unique icon that represented it in some way.
