Cabin Fever
'Cabin Fever' is a student project that focuses on exploring feelings of isolation, alienation, and claustrophobia, developed due to the Covid19 pandemic, as the whole world was forced to quarantine in their houses. A person’s home, which was once a space of comfort and relaxation, became a source of agitation, anxiety, and frustration. Working/studying from home further amplified these negative emotions as spaces became muddled. A person ate, slept, and worked in the same space, leading to them often feeling heavily distressed. Furthermore, the pandemic lockdown has had detrimental effects on the mental health of children and young adults especially, causing psychological distress due to prolonged confinement and isolation. I wish to comment on these after-effects using exaggerated illustrations, making people face the uncomfortable realities of urban living.
