Using The Moon As Humanity's Permanent Outpost To Further Explore The Universe Including Mars And Beyond

This is my final year of university's independent creative programme. I decided to create it about astronomy once more because that's what I'm interested in. My major goal was to make an educational illustration that promotes awareness about impending real-life astronomy projects. I believe that space is one of those themes that piques people's interest and makes them wonder what's out there. Will humanity ever be able to travel to space, Mars and beyond? Is there any other life except what exists on Earth? All of these questions can be answered by travelling and exploring. I believe it is in human nature to wonder and explore. We have always sought to explore, dating back to the Viking era and even before that.
The image below shows the educational illustration. It is of a human base on the lunar surface. A colonised Moon.
The images below shows some of my process work.
My inspiration for this project was my interest in astronomy and the upcoming real life Nasa project Artemis. The Artemis is a series of missions in to space that will colonise the moon and put the first humans on Mars, our first step into further exploring the universe. Humans will be back on the lunar surface as soon as 2025 according to Nasa and first time ever on Mars by 2030, that is what I wanted to show in work.
