Hello! Recently I've been watching old films like the 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) which portrays the futuristic outlook of people in the 60s on space technology in the decades to come and what would be the lifestyle like living in outer space. Add to that, my love for retrofuturism (a creative movement back in the 60s that incorporates future "science" with the modern-day aesthetics while still using the old-fashioned design process), I came up with these four imagined pin-up artworks that was digitally designed in Adobe Photoshop.
These artworks were also inspired by music I've listened to recently such as the latest album of Lana Del Rey, "Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd". This nostalgic 60s inspired album allowed me to dive into the 60s creative design styles and approach these artworks the same way people would create artworks back in the day. I hope you liiiiiiiike it!
I imagined these artworks to be used for vinyl records, digital album covers, and books or magazines... anything that has a 1:1 scale ratio.
