Honey bees are disappearing at an alarming rate across the globe. If this rapid decline in population continues, the European honey bee will be completely extinct within 20 years. If this happens we will lose one-third of our food due to pollination loss. My mission is to design a system or device that allows for the storage and procreation of honey bees within an urban environment. The system should add an element of interest to attract people who would not otherwise be interested in beekeeping.

 

The name beā comes from the latin word for happy- beātus.   You'll notice the hive looks like it's smiling.
