Tequila Patron - Bottle Art Competition
Electric machine that creates unique pieces as an art contest prize
BOTTLE ART COMPETITION is a contest hosted by tequila PATRON that pays tribute to the art implicit in the brand's process and product. The competition invites artists of various backgrounds to submit creative proposals that utilize the brand's handmade bottles as the main material and source of inspiration.
Our task was to create a personalized artistic "electrical picture machine", which, as the name suggests, generates paintings made from paint and the famous bottle as the main focus. These unique "works of art" would be presented as part of the prize for the winners of the contest.
VICE Colombia contacted us to develop this "art machine" for the campaign that was specifically designed for the brand.
This is a description of the electric and digital functions that enable the physical (analog) activity of the "unique painting piece creator machine". Orders are given through a digital screen that allows the user to indicate the desired color and amount of paint that should flow through the channels of the surface carrying the design created for the brand.
Several of the internal machine parts were specially designed with their function in mind and then materialized through 3D printing.
