Embroidery
Embroidery has always been one of my favorite forms of artistic expression. I love the feeling of the needle and thread in my hands, creating intricate designs and bringing my imagination to life on a fabric.
So, I wanted to make an embroidery of myself and I wanted it to capture my personality and style, so I carefully chose the elements that represent me the most.
I focused on my outfit. I embroidered my favorite top, carefully selecting the colors and stitches to accurately depict the fabric's texture. I used satin stitch for this part, as it gave a smooth and glossy finish that resembled the fabric's look. And then I embroidered the skin using satin stitch. I also embroidered my locket, which holds sentimental value to me, using the same satin stitch and a french knot. I chose to depict myself blowing a bubble out of my chewing gum, as it's something I often do when I'm deep in thought or relaxed.
And finally, I added my favourite earrings, which I used to wear almost every day! I used chain stitch for this part.

One of the most exciting parts of the embroidery was creating my hair. I decided to leave it open, as it's how I often wear it in real life. I used different shades of thread to add depth and dimension to my hair, and I made sure to stitch it in a way that allows me to style it differently if I wanted to. I used a french knots on the wrong side of the fabric and left some part of the yarn on the right side of the fabric to achieve the desired effect.
This unique piece never fails to reminds me of my passion for embroidery
and my love for expressing myself through art!
