ART 230 PROJECT 03 ANGELICA KENNEDY
This is my mockup for the front and back covers of my gift booklet. I liked the idea of having text on the cover bleed into the background color, and I repeated that effect throughout the booklet.
Assignment 04 was to create a gift booklet for a loved one using a talk from the most recent session of general conference. We had to make an eight page booklet layout in InDesign, we could only use one photo in our booklet (a photo of the speaker), and we were required to use at least 3 different colors in our designs.
I chose to create this booklet for my husband. I pulled the red color from the photo of Sister J. Annette Dennis on the inside front cover, I chose the coral color because it is my husband's favorite color, and I chose the yellow color to portray the idea of "light." I wanted my colors to be light and uplifting while still being eye-catching and appealing.
This is my first spread mockup for my booklet. This spread is pages six and seven of the gift booklet. This is one of my favorite spreads in the gift booklet; I really like how page seven turned out.
This is one of my mockups for my booklet. This spread mockup shows pages four and five. I really like how the bolded, red text in the paragraphs look in contrast with the smaller black text.
This is the completed layout for my booklet. This graphic includes the front and back covers, the 8 pages, and the inside front cover and inside back covers. I like how the booklet ended up!
