Here is an Animatic I created for an animated music video to the song "The Rain, The Park and Other Things" by The Cowsills. The story depicts a young art student meeting a girl in his class who he daydreams about in a fantastical setting, fantasizing that they are spending time together. At the end, the character wakes up to see the girl next to him, signifying that she wasn't a dream after all. Through this project I took careful attention to the timing of the project, making sure the events of the story matched with the lyrics of the song. I also made sure the story I was trying to tell matched the mood of the song as well as relating to the song lyrics. I also learned a lot about framing, angles, and camera movements within this piece and how they can affectively progress the narrative as well as enhance the mood of the scene.
