Documentary and travel photographer, Drowster did a fabulous tribute to Montreal by capturing the seasons and their contrasts that make this city so unique by its climate and its metamorphosis. Over the seasons and over a period of 3 years, he meticulously chose 150 places in Montreal that he photographed from the same place, with the same lens and from the same angle. As Quebec is known for its four distinct seasons, the challenge was to highlight its spectacular images to allow the reader to experience this passage of time over the pages.
In an effort to showcase Drowster’s awe-inspiring talent and the significance of the locations captured, we’ve crafted the book into an oversized “coffee table book.” The graphic grid has been thought out to allow comparison of the four seasons. The series of photos offer the possibility of observing the extraordinary hidden in the ordinary. With this book, we rediscover Montreal from an angle that highlights the beauty of its nature, this happy spectacle between the vegetal and the urban that ultimately characterizes this city.
