Candy sweet, Ube purple
filipino food trip in western Sydney
Having lived in Sydney for over five years, I have yet to step into the northern-western Sydney area once. Growing up in the hills area, my friends decided to bring me on a Filipino food trip, from main dish to bakery and snacks.
Mama Lor
                        Garlic rice                                                                         Adobong Kang Kong
Filipino food reminds me of Chinese cuisine. So I can't help but reach out for chopsticks but found out that in philippines, it's common to use a fork and spoon. 😂
Sisig Bangus                          Kalamansi juice/Melon shake/Sago’t Gulaman
I've known Filipino food because as a huge purple sweet potato fan when I was looking for the trace of this ingredient in Sydney, I always ended up in a Filipino grocery store. In their word 'ube'.
A bakery can always relate you to childhood memory somehow.
Ensaymada. So soft, the butter, sugar and chesse just melt in your mouth
Fruit salad ice candy + Ice buko
I guess coconut flavor is very common in tropical areas, but the azuki bean in ice Boku makes it different.
Wrap our trip with pruple boom
