"Blazing Arrow" by Blackalicious is one of my all time favorite albums in any genre. While creating new pieces, I begin almost every morning with at least one listen through.

Dimension is so important in the medium I work with that I always make sure to get several angles of the piece—straight-on shots are often the least impactful. This is especially true when there's a gradient to be drooled over.

Light reflection can be such a fun and unexpected part of my work. I didn't think I'd get any colored reflections working on a black base, but I was wrong! I love how the colors seem to have an outer glow.
