Color blindness, also known as color vision deficiency (CVD), is the decreased ability to see specific color or unable to differentiate colors. For those with CVD, simple tasks such as selecting ripe fruits, choosing clothes, and reading traffic lights can be more challenging. Color blindness may make some academic activities more difficult.
People with CVD tend to learn how to differentiate certain colors through trial and error, building their own color map from an early age.
