This year we had new art for the front cover and I love it! CSF has done an amazing job capturing the feel of south Florida with their art! There are billboards along the Florida Turnpike and I-95 that showcase these amazing images of native species and musical instruments!
The major donors receive a two-page spread in this souvenir book, and I was able to use the CSF art to fill those big white spaces when there's not enough copy and you can't bump up the type without making it horsey looking. I loved this couple's names, so I chose them as the example from this year's book. The photo is lovely, too. They look like a happy pair!
I enjoy putting this book together. Yes, I love classical music, but I also like working with these folks. They know what they want and they are very clear in their communications. They like the traditional look of the Edwardian Script used for headers and there's no argument that Palatino is a great choice for a classic readable font with a beautiful italic. We agreed it is a winning combination!
