Happy Spring!
If you're receiving this email, it's because you've expressed some interest in civic innovation and technology, open data, and open government here in the Greater Boston area. We wanted to give you all a quick recap of what's been going on with Code for Boston, and what some of our next steps are as we continue to foster civic engagement and innovation in Boston. Here's where we're at:

Weekly Hack Nights
We've continued our weekly hack nights at Cambridge Innovation Center in Kendall Square. We've been calling this space home for over a year and we're adding new members all the time. Hack nights average about 30 participants a week who come to pitch new projects, hack on current ones, and discuss the issues we face as we continue to push for open data. Hack nights run from 7-10ish pm every Tuesday. If you're interested in coming to a hack night, you can RSVP on our Meetup page. We'd love to see you there!

Open Data is Everywhere!
Code for Boston continues to function as a champion for open data in the cities of Boston and Cambridge. From participating in city council meetings in Cambridge, working directly with city councillors to draft ordinances, and pushing for open data policies, Code for Boston has it's fingerprints all over the open data movement.
